Arsenal in big trouble?

May 27, 2008

Arsenal are in a real crisis as their young stars are beginning to look elsewhere and leave the club.

Who is on their way..?

Firstly Mathieu Flamini has left for Ac Milan, news broke out last week that Alexander Hleb had bought out his contract and his on his way to Inter Milan. Emmanuel Adebayor has demanded £80,000 a week or he will go. While Real Madrid have made Cesc Fabregas their number one target.

What can Arsene Wenger do about it..?

He wants to keep his wage structure there but in today’s football you cant do it. Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool all pay their players a lot of money but Arsenal quite simply cant afford it.

Why is there no funds available..?

Mostly because of their new stadium. Its costing so much to run that Arsenal haven’t got any money to be able to buy the players required.

Is there any hope for them..?

Yes, he goes by the name of Alisher Usmanov, a Russian billionaire who has offered to help Arsenal. But chairmen Peter Hill-Wood and director Danny Fiszman have said there is no chance of that.

Arsenal fans will hope that they splash the cash to keep their stars are face losing them to their European rivals.

My team of the season

May 27, 2008

Its been a great season and there has been some great matches. Here is my team of the season.

Goalkeeper and defence..

GK-David James-absolutely immense in goal, began to have the odd lapse at the end of the season but still was instrumental for Portsmouth. RB-Micah Richards-Over the last few months hes had a few injury’s but at the start of the season he was a candidate for player of the season and if he stays or leaves City he has a bright future in front of him.CB-Rio Ferdinand-A rock at the back and United wouldn’t have won the league without him.CB-Nemanja Vidic-I couldn’t leave him out as he also has been a rock, his fearless defending really suits Rio and a great partnership has formed.LB-Gael Clichy-Really tight with him and Patrice Evra but the way Gael has grown up this has been brilliant and he will certainly have glory days with Arsenal.

Midfielder’s..

RM-Cristiano Ronaldo-Quite simply the best in the world, 41 goals and countless assists, he can turn a game in a instance and win it on his own.CM-Michael Essien-Really strong player and has been a constant performer for Chelsea,he has proved he can score goals in recent weeks.CM-Cesc Fabregas-What a player he is turning out to be,he carried Arsenal in the champions league, he ran out of steam toward the end but still had a great season.LM-Alexander Hleb-Arsenal have found a gem here and should do everything to keep him,his one touch passes carve open defences and he also scores goals.

Striker’s..

ST-Fernando Torres-What a player, he has adapted to life in England so quickly and if Rafa had of played him more they certainly would have some silverware come the end of the season.ST-Yakubu-Weird choice i know but i just feel when hes on his game there is no one better and his finishing is ten to none. He is vital to Everton if they want to push into the top four.

Manager..

Sir Alex Ferguson-10th title and he is the master!! It looked at times that they were looking jaded and tired but they hung on and his team went to Moscow and did the double.
