England defeat Trinidad & Tobago

Fabio Capello’s England defeated a very poor Trinidad & Tobago team by a comfortable 3-0. A much changed England team lead out by David Beckham breezed through the game and in fairness could have won by a lot more goals. Jermain Defoe got 2 goals while Steven Gerrard got the other.
How did Capello rate the performance..?
“We played a good game and all the players showed good concentration.” he went on “I’m pleased with the four games I’ve been in charge. In every one, we’ve gone forwards step by step and each match has been very important.”
Jermain Defoe who scored 2 goals said after the game..?
“I am delighted to have got two goals. To play for your country and score is the best feeling in the world.
England performed well in Trinidad and hopefully they got the approval to stage the 2018 world cup.

England put in a “professional” performance as they overcame a poor USA side 2-0. Capello utilized his squad throughout the second half and is happy with the way his team played.
England’s goals..
Well a game with few chances and few shots made by both teams but the break through came in the 38th minute when a typical pin point ball from Beckham found it’s way to the captain John Terry who directed his header perfectly into the corner. England had to wait till the second half to double their advantage and it was Steven Gerrard who got it when he latched on to Gareth Barry’s ball and easily beat the USA goalkeeper Brad Guzan. The game frizzled out after that and England just cruised to a 2-0 victory.
The manager was clearly pleased with his side’s performance and applauded his player’s throughout the game.

The biggest news in the run up to this friendly is that John Terry will be the skipper under Fabio Capello’s 3rd game in charge. Capello hope’s that the honour of leading his country will “pick him up” after missing the vital penalty against United.
Capello’s decisions..?
He has decided to make Wayne Rooney his main man and will give him a partner in this game. His other decisios lie in whether to play Gerrard and Lampard together with Hargreaves and Barry also pushing for a start. He may play Brown at right back with Rio Ferdinand and John Terry the centre back pairing.
USA team..
Bob Bradley’s team will be a difficult task for England as USA are undefeated in 2008. Bradley has eight players who play football in the English league. It could be a very special night for Landon Donovan who looks set to make his 100th appearance for USA at just 26 years old.
This should be a good game for England as they warm up for the World Cup Qualifiers.
Rio the best defender this year..?

Rio Ferdinand is looking like the new England captain and has also captained Unite this season but is he the best.
The best must be vocal and a rock at the back..
Rio has these qualities and he is also good on the ball. He lets Nemanja do all the dirty work like attacking the ball and sliding tackles while he cleans up everything. He is now one of the more mature players at Man U and he is a great leader of the young boys at the club. He is always very positive in interviews and never puts down his teamates.
Is he the best though..?
I think his performances at the back have been brilliant and the defence for me has been the real key to Man United winning the league. United have conceded the least goals and at the start of the season they kept 4 or 5 clean sheets which were vital as the attacking force weren’t playing well. He as played the whole season as well so i think he must be considered the best especially if United win the Champions League.
So Rio has matured into the best and i hope he takes that form into his England career and steps up to the captains role.
