Sneijder snubs Ronaldo
July 17, 2008
Real Madrid star Wesley Sneijder has made an amazing attack on possible teammate Cristiano Ronaldo. Sneijder spoke about the possibility of Ronaldo joining and said how it could affect the changing room in a bad way.
He said…
“It would be bad for the dressing room as he would earn better wages than the rest of the squad. It would not matter to me but I know there are other players who would not like that. Maintaining the stability within the squad is important.”
He also spoke about how Ronaldo disappears in big games…
“To speak highly of him would be slightly disrespectful to the players that are here and have shown their class. There are already similar players to him here like Arjen Robben. I want Robinho to stay - he is almost the same as Ronaldo. People criticise him a bit and say Robinho does not play well in big games but I’ve seen Ronaldo disappear in some of United’s big games.”
Simon Says
The move from Real Madrid will not happen this season because Ronaldo is injured and Real will not want to pay £60m for a crocked player. It will be interesting to see if United supporters accept Ronaldo back and support him next season.
Man Utd quash reports about Ronaldo move
July 5, 2008
Man Utd have again quashed reports that Cristiano Ronaldo could be on his way out of Manchester. Spanish reports claimed the deal was imminent for around £70m.
But a United spokesman said…
“There is not a shred of truth in it. This is laughable nonsense and to be quite honest we are getting fed up with it. We are not entering into any discussions with anyone about selling Cristiano Ronaldo. Quite simply Cristiano Ronaldo is not for sale and that is that.”
Meanwhile Ronaldo was concentrating on having an ankle injury. The winger is expected to have an operation which will keep him out for up to two months. This is a big blow for United as it means he will miss the first four games of the season including a trip to Anfield
Will Ronaldo move to Madrid?
June 23, 2008
Somehow, someway the transfer saga surrounding Ronaldo is still going on. It started so long ago, according to Ronaldo he made had made his decision before the champion’s league final. He decided not to tell us and now it has been going on for some months.
Ronald said…
“The possibilities of me going to Madrid are great but it does not depend on me. I know there is a concrete offer on the table, now let’s see if we can reach a deal in the next days. ” He continued…
“For me it’s a very good opportunity. As Scolari says, this only happens once. I didn’t want to say anything because we were in competition and these are important decisions.”
Real Madrid president has also been stirring the situation by saying…
“If the kid keeps himself in that strong position, the step he has taken could be key. As we have already said many times, it is a problem between Manchester United and the player. If the two resolve the situation and Manchester United want to call us, then we will be happy and delighted with that because Cristiano is a great player.”
Simon says…
I really don’t know how this is still going. I am a United fan and I don’t care whether he stays or goes now. He has disrespected Fergie, the club and the fans. He has gone down in my estimation and I believe we will cash in. The prospect of Wesley Sneidjer joining and £40m in the bank sounds mouthwatering. I hope we do the deal and get rid of “the god”.
Ronaldo wants to go to Real Madrid
June 20, 2008
Cristiano Ronaldo looks to have made a huge decision regarding his future at Man Utd. Cristiano who has been constantly linked Spanish giants Real Madrid told reporters that he intends to speak to United and hopes his “dream” will come true.
He said…
“It is a dream, a step forward, you can call it what you want. For me it is a great opportunity, and as Scolari says, that train passes by only once, and we have to take advantage of it. You will soon know what I want. You do know what I want and that is why I don’t want to say anything else. Let’s wait. I want to give more details that is why I cannot say much more.”
United quickly replied to the news…
“Further to Friday’s press speculation about where Cristiano Ronaldo’s future lies, the club has moved to reiterate its stance on the matter: United are not listening to offers. But the club reaffirmed to ManUtd.com on Friday morning that the 23-year-old United star is “not for sale”
Simon Says…
I think the boy is a great player and I really hope he stays at Man Utd. However with £70m and the likes of Robinho and Sergio Ramos in the frame then I hope Utd listen to offers. Its clear he doesn’t want to play at United so cash in and get a couple of players in the process.
Ronaldo makes possible u-turn
June 8, 2008
It goes on and on and on, “the transfer saga of Cristiano Ronaldo”. One minute he is going and the next he is staying. Earlier in the week he apparently told Brazilian newspapers that he wants to go to Real Madrid. Ronaldo has denied this after he said that he is still undecided about his future and wants to decide after Euro 2008.
Ronaldo said…
”Still I do not know where I will play, I have not yet decided. It will be decided after the European Championships.”
This news will make United fans a little happier, could their star asset stay after the all the speculation surrounding him over the past few months.
Ronaldo’s mum has also said that her son should and would stay in England at Man Utd.
One thing is for sure, Cristiano WILL play in Spain in his career, the question is… when.
Ronaldo wants to leave
June 7, 2008
Cristiano Ronaldo has rocked Man Utd by asking if he can join Real Madrid. The star who is preparing for Euro 2008 has obviously been distracted by the amount of money Madrid have been talking about and now Ronaldo wants to leave.
Ronaldo told reporters…
“I would like to play for Real Madrid but only if it is true they are ready to pay what Manchester United ask of them.”
This will infuriate United and they are now going to report Real Madrid to FIFA and relationships between the two clubs are rock bottom. Man Utd are prepared to let Ronaldo “rot” in the stands, which is not good news for the winger as he looks to push through a deal with Madrid.
Ronaldo wants to fulfill his “dream”
June 4, 2008
Cristiano Ronaldo has told his close friends that he wants to move to Real Madrid. The portuguese star has always wanted to play in Spain and now he is thinking about making the move.
Will he be able to leave..?
No, Man Utd are very unwilling to sell and have even stated they will sit Ronaldo in the stands to prevent him moving to Real Madrid. A big bib from Real may persuade United but Cristiano is willing to stay one more year to keep peace with his manager and the fans.
One thing is for certain, Ronaldo will play in Spain in the future, maybe sooner rather later.
The transfer saga surrounding Ronaldo rolls on
June 2, 2008
Cristiano Ronaldo has told newspapers that he will decide in 2 or 3 days on his future. The portuguese star is pondering whether to stay at Manchester United or make his “dream” move to Real Madrid.
This has set alarm bells ringing at Old Trafford as this statement comes as a complete surprise to United. They except Ronaldo to be at United next season but still fear Ronaldo could decide on Madrid. In recent days Ronaldos uncle has said that his nephew has decided to move to Madrid and just yesterday Portugal’s manager, Phil Scolari, urged Cristiano to make the move to Spain.
Even if Ronaldo decides to go Sir Alex ferguson has said that the owners wouldn’t let him and are prepared to sit him the stands.
Real Madrid have been gradually backing out of the move for Ronaldo after fears they could wreck a “good” relationship with Man Utd.
What happens in the next few days could be both big for United and Madrid and everyone who has links with the clubs will have their ears open to see what Ronaldo decides.
Cristiano Ronaldo staying or going?
May 26, 2008
In recent weeks stories have been constantly popping up about Ronaldo leaving United and staying at United but quite frankly only one or two men know what is going to happen. That is Ronaldo and his manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
What has the player said..?
He has always said he wants to play in Spain but is happy at Manchester United. He said after winning the Champions League and Premier League that he wants to stay but then stories emerged that Real Madrid believe Ronaldo will be playing in Spain next season. While Ronaldo insists he is happy at United you just never know with Madrid lurking about.
How have Man Utd reacted to this..?
United insisted that Ronaldo would be staying and the news going round is pure nonsense. They said why would Ronaldo want to leave “the best club in Europe” good point but Ronaldo has achieved everything he can with United and may seek knew challenges.
I think although Madrid always get their man, they wont this time and Ronaldo will stay at United for 2-3 years and then Real Madrid will be breaking the bank for Ronaldo. While Sir Alex is there Ronaldo will be there.
